WWE News, Is Undertaker about to Retire ?

GOLDBERG believes The Undertaker’s wrestling career will
come to an end when the WWE legend decides it’s time to call
it quits.

Undertaker (real name Mark Calaway) still wrestles part time
for Vince McMahon’s company despite the advanced age of 53
and has had some big matches against top superstars like
Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, John Cena and more.
Many fans have been wondering when his career will come to
an end and Goldberg insists that only The Phenom, and
probably WWE Chairman and CEO McMahon, can make that
decision.

The WWE Hall of Famer told Digital Spy when asked about
when The Deadman should hang up his boots: “You know, it's
not my decision.

“If you asked him the same question about me, he'd probably
say the same thing. At the end of the day, it's up to the
person lacing those boots up, and my opinion is nothing but
that. And one person's opinion doesn't mean that things are
right or wrong.

"I believe that in Mark's head, Mark knows when to call it
quits. He'll do it when he wants to, and nobody can tell him
otherwise, except for Vince, maybe.

“You know, they can sit down and have a man-to-man, and
when it gets to the point where the performance isn't there,
or you're enduring too much pain [where] you have to prepare
too many different ways to get into the match, then it's time
to do it.

"But, it's a really very hard thing to do. And money doesn't
drive it. People think that money drives them, and that has
nothing to do with it.
“We're talking about careers here that need to be made or
broken in one or two matches, or one comeback. One of the
old-time programs.”

Undertaker hinted at retirement last year at WrestleMania 33
after an emotional loss to Reigns as he broke character and
laid down his signature black jacket, gloves and hat in the
middle of the ring before saluting the crowd.
However, the seven-time world champion returned at
WrestleMania 34 where he destroyed Cena in less than three
minutes and also beat Rusev in a Casket Match at the
Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia.

Goldberg made a return to wrestling at the age of 50 where he
destroyed Lesnar at Survivor Series in his comeback match.
The three-time world champion also competed in the Royal
Rumble Match, won the Universal Championship from Kevin
Owens at Fastlane, lost the belt to Lesnar at WrestleMania 33
and was then inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame three
months ago.
